Frosted windshield

I just noticed the left side of my windshield on my 2015 377 is frosted (not cold or ice related) it is a patch about 30 inches high by 15 inches wide wher the windshield curves around the side. Appears as if the layers have seep rated and allowed it to fog up. I am sure I will need a new windshield. It us under warranty as I just purchased it back in December. There are not chips or cracks in the glass. Will this have to go back to the factory are is this something my dealer should be able to replace. I worry that the dealer won't have the expertise to do it like the factory would. Anyone else have this problem. We are parked at a Corps of Engineers lake and have been since April. Just noticed it today. Who at the factory should I contact?

You should have information that came with your RV with the factory contact info. They may want a dealer to see it first. I believe there is also contact info somewhere in this forum.

Cars and trucks have laminated windshields, I expect that is also the case with motorhomes. Essentially two sheets of glass with vinyl between them. From your description it sounds like the lamination failed which may very well be a manufacturing defect.

Good luck,

Bobby

Delco is right about the delaminating. Got the same thing same corner on mine just as big as yours. Showed it to a glass specialist and told me about the delaminating. Sometime they will get bigger sometime they will stay has is. Since mine is small about the size of my fist in bottom corner doesn't bother me for now.

My dealer had a glass specialist come in and do it. That was in 2011 because someone shot a bb at it. No problems since then. I don't think it needs to go back to the factory.

Looks like they made a bad batch of windshields. All windshields to the best of my knowledge are laminated. Any competent windshield company should be able to handle it.
