Full Body Paint vs Regular Paint?

I see pictures posted everywhere for the full body paint, but none of the regular paint job. Does anyone have pictures of the regular paint job on a 2012 or new Georgetown?

I considered the same thing. But one thing to think about is resale. I'm happy I added the full paint. MSRP of the option is $9K, but the dealer charged only $6,300. It's a great paint job.

And....one of the joys of full body paint is the ease of keeping it clean and polished.

Well my first Georgetown didn't have full body paint. I sure do like my new one that has full body paint.

My first 2000 Georgetown didn't have the Gel-Kote that the new(er) one does.

This one is half paint, half gel-kote. The old one was like raw fiberglas. Forgot what it's called, but it attracted dirt which wouldn't rinse off.

This one rinses off nicely, saving wash jobs.

Experience is that decals crack, the edges peal and they fade. Look at two 2007 identical Georgetowns - other than the body paint - and I think you'll see a distinct difference. If you're only going to keep it for a couple years, then I'd probably just go with the decals. Any longer, I'd suggest the full body paint.

My coach is over 6 years old now and it looks the same as it did when we drove it home the first day. Granted it has to be washed and I wax it at least once a season but it's worth the time and effort. As stated the resale will be higher with the full body paint job.

Having had both I can tell you the paint is worth every penny. Your spending your kid’s inheritance aren't you, well enjoy it while you can and let them work for their own money.
