Hello Everyone,
We love this forum and our new GT, in the short time I have been a member I have learned more about our GT from this site then the dealer but that will be a different thread.
We have owned our new 2013 GT 351 DFS for 3 months now and have logged 4,100 miles to date, so I am still learning some things. I am concerned about the operation of the thermostat that controls our furnace. We are camping this week in the north east and it is cool enough to want some heat. When I select furnace on the thermostat, is it normal for the FAN on the front AC unit to turn on?
The furnace has been on now for about 20 minutes and the coach is much warmer but the FAN on the roof unit is still blowing cool air around. Our 2008 Winnebago did not operate this way, if you wanted heat only the furnace came on without the ac blower. While you can tell it is not cold ac air just cool air it still seems rather strange to me that it works this way. I will be making a trip soon to the dealer to fix some issues and I will ask them this same question but I would still rather hear from other owners if this is normal. The dealer did not know much about the operation of this unit for our walk through and I am not sure they will give me the correct answer.
Thanks Again Everyone
