Regular is $2.69 here in mid California, I have a Chevy Volt and have stopped charging the battery it's cheaper to run on gas since I will be in teir 4 this month on PG&E rates at $0.32 KWh. I get 35 mpg on gas and the electrical would be 28 mpg comparing dollar to dollar.

Agreed, but everyone has their own situation for me I have 3,000 watts solar on my house so in sunny months the solar keeps me in teir 1 and 2 which are $0.15 and $0.17 which puts the dollar for dollar comparison in favor of the electricity, gas would have to get below $2.00 to beat it. At $3.79 (for premium which the Volt requires) I was getting 80 to 95 mpg on the electrical, mind you these are not EPA estimates if you went by those I would be at 128 mpg because of the weird formula they used.

It sounds like a promotional loss leader in the wake of all these lower fuel prices as I can't see a 20 to 30 cent difference in cost between ok and Tx. They must be losing a little money at the pump and I'm sure there is a line of cars a mile long down the street. But it definitely sounds like it's coming to a town near you very soon. I never thought I'd see these prices again. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I saw $2.999 for diesel at the cash only Freestate near me. Down the street was $3.259 at the Exxon.

I hope Tuesday its still just as low to top off the truck.
