Does everything else on 120 work when the generator is running? TV's, outlets, the microwave, etc?

What is the output of your generator? Most A/C units need at least a 3000W unit to handle the 13500 btu A/C.(However Yamaha has a great unit that at 2400w is able to handle an A/C unit)
Even though your unit may only pull 16-18 amps while running, more power is required to get the unit going. That is why one needs the lager wattage generators. Hope this helps. I am sure someone else can add to this.

Have you checked the breakers? Did you run the AC's successfully on shore power after running the generator?

Stephen mentioned the power output. Is there any way you can check the actual output of your generator while it's running? If you can, try to measure the current draw before and after you try to start the air conditioner.

You'd have to have a pretty big generator to run 2 air conditioners !

Do you know about the breakers physically located ON the generator?

Which Georgetown do you have?

BOB

Bob
You never said what type or size your generator is.
Portable?
In your motorhome?
KW?

Please give us more information.
Thanks

Iggy, I thought you were---------

Iggy, I thought you were up to something! We haven't heard from you. You got rid of the 5th wheel and moved to a class "A".

The two wires fuses you ask on another post is to the memory bank that said you should have kept the 5th wheel!!!!!!!!
