George town 2008 328SE headlights improvements

HI all.

For 6 month's I am the new owner of a George town 328SE 2008.
And are very happy with it after some minor improvements.
Here my problem. While traveling to Yuma AZ we got some road delays
and where traveling in to the dark. What was I disappointed with the
head lights. The lenses and reflector are as new.
Is there any thing I can do to improve the brightness??
For example replacing with differend bulbs?
Thanks for any help.

John

Get Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs or LED bulbs.

The headlights really do suck and I am sure new bulbs would help a little but I am looking to go to HID. I just need to find a projector that can be retrofit, older BMW e90 3 series looks like a candidate but haven't measured yet.

can get HID conversions for what you have. Google HID bulbs.

I am aware of the conversions but it doesn't address the projector issues. I researched a system for my son's car and that's the key. Quality is also a big issue, many of these conversions only last a year or so before something burns out, which is why I would rather adapt a BMW or other OEM system.

I may opt for LED if they have gotten better, thats what i ended up putting in my son's car but it was only slightly brighter than the pathetic OEM system.

I know some people who did LED, and they are very happy with them.
