Georgetown 310DS King Bed support

First time posting. Our Georgetown 310DS has a king bed slideout that is unsupported on one side by about 19 inches. They placed a very thin piece of plywood like material to increase the width from a queen to a king (72 x 75)
When you sit on the edge of the bed it rocks the piece of sheeting and if I weighed more than my 170 pounds probably would break. Any other 310DS owners out there experiencing this situation and what was done to increase the support? FR has agreed to take care of the problem but didn't say how. I can't get into my service center until September 13, so I am trying to be proactve in researching a solution.
