Georgetown: audio on backup camera?

Hey gang - thanks for indulging me on various queries as we figure out all the goodies on our new GT 351.

I see where you can adjust the volume and other features in the menu selections, but ...I've yet to actually hear any audio. What am I missing?

thx,

-Mike

Could be as simple as not being connected to the back of the unit. Our coach has a totally different unit with only a back camera and audio. Since it's a new unit let the dealer find the issue, but go over everything on the coach so hopefully they can address any issues during one trip back.

I read on another thread that speaker was not connected at factory due to number of complaints of the noise

The sound only works when the rear camera is on the display. If the side view cameras are displayed there will be no sound.

I assumed this to be the case. However so far we're not getting audio of any kind, even when rear camera is on.

That wouldn't make much sense on their part because there is a volume adjustment. If you don't like the noise, turn it down but if it's disconnected anyone giving instructions when backing up might as well be a mime!
