Thumbs up Georgetown Factory Tour

We just completed a tour today of the Forest River Georgetown factory in Elkhart Indiana. The factory was actually not in operation due to the holiday week the RV industry takes after the 4th. Andy Nolan gave us a great tour as we had about 20 people in our group. Everything I saw on the tour reinforced my opinion that we were fortunate enough to purchase a well engineered and a well built unit.
We took over 1 1/2 hours on the tour and never felt hurried and Andy answered all the questions from our group.
When the time comes to buy another unit would give first pick to another Georgetown, on the Ford chassis.

We were at the diesel plant back in March, 2009, just after the problems with the economy caused Forest River to idle the manufacturing plant. We toured the idled plant with Matt the warranty service manager for their diesel division. We also were impressed with the manufacturing process and had a great tour despite the fact that they were not actually building coaches.

We also toured the plant back in 2007 when looking at the Georgetowns. Being an engineer, i was impressed with the construction and techniques that they used to put it together. If we were looking at another motor home, i would buy another Georgetown. Ours has been great. A few problems at the first, but FR took care of them.
