Always wondered the same with my 330. It has the larger tires and side open doors but no XL designation.

Send a message via Skype™ to Falcon35
I have a early 2012 and at the time I got that they did not use XL later 2012 had the higher roof and a new front cap and they called it an XL. We do have the big wheels, full pant and side open doors and I think the were using up 2011 parts to build early 2012s.

Could be the dual-pane windows, tank heaters, back up alarm "Lady", Banks stuff, warmed bidet, and Onan Gennie?

I don't know for sure, but I think the XL designation is a moving target.

I just realized that my 2005 won't be allowed into some parks next year, although it looks and operates like new!

All the XL's this year are on the 24k lb. F53 chassis...the non XL's are on the 18 and 20.5 chassis. Interior height is 84 v. 82. Full body paint v. partial. Side openers on both.
Lots of upgraded interior standards and options and there are several "house" construction points that are mentioned in the XL brochure that are NOT on the standard pages. (ducted floor heat for example...wall & floor construction laminates etc.) 50 amp service and Polished aluminum wheels and side cams are XL standards.

There may be some other stuff but that is all from the 2014 brochure and probably does not apply to other years.

camaraderie, except for the full body paint my 330 has everything that you mentioned in your post. There is a 2011 378 a couple of miles from my home that also doesn't have full body paint, same paint scheme as mine, with the XL designation on it. Go figure.

Sherman...yup...just listing the apparent 2014 differences from the brochure. Prior year models might contain hot tubs for all I know! I'm planning on a 2014 280DS this fall unless the 2015's have new and neat models... so I won't be troubling myself about how the elite XL crowd lives!!

I have the same model as you, bath and 1/2 king bed two bowl sinks in full bath and 1 in 1/2 bath. We bought ours in March 2011 and have 26k+ on it and we are doing well after assorted issues were corrected. If I can be of help feel free to ask.
