Georgetown sighted in Mesquite Texas

My wife and I were headed home late afternoon today, about 1600 (4 p.m. for you civilian types) and saw a Georgetown, what appeared to be a 351 on Beltline Rd with 'North Cackilack' plates (North Carolina) . Thought we would put a note on here and see if it belongs to anyone of the FRF / F.R.O.G. members on here.

Good sighting. We haven't seen a single one on the road as of yet. I was wondering if it's one of those Yetti things. You know, they don't exist and we are the only ones with one.

BTW, you'll know it's us because we are the only ones with lipstick and eye lashes....DW had to have it....Just kidding.

There's another Georgetown in the storage yard that we use for ours in Northeast Columbia, South Carolina...maybe the owner will see this?

Left Charleston SC last week and drove to San Antonio, back thru Houston to Bueamont, today up to Dallas area. Haven't seen another GT yet. We are currently staying on the NE corner of Dallas.

Edit.... Just read post to DW and she reminded me we did stop for gas on Beltline Rd between 3:30 and 4 today on our way to stay with family at Rowlett

Wasn't us, but you are apt to spot our GT 351 around DFW as we are there fairly often. Usually stay at Tree Tops in Arlington.

We just finished our winter southern trip and for the first time we saw quite a few Georgetowns. In a park in Mississippi there were four of use lined up in a row side by side. At first it was really rare to see another Georgetown but not so much anymore. We spent 2 months just north of Ft. Worth and there were quite a few Forestriver motorhomes in the park.

During the 40K miles that I drove my '99 GT, I think I saw one other one in Fernley, NV.

Now they're everywhere!

JimF... Where in Mississippi did you see the Georgetown's. We live in Meridian and I am yet to see one in the entire state. I was thinking we were alone.

We try to make a trip out to Texas every other year or so and usually stop in Meridian at Benchmark RV park. Stopped there on the way out this time. Not sure on trip back yet.

We stopped at Benchmark on the way to Ft Benning last month, pretty nice place for an overnight park....EASY in and out

If your in no need of a fancy place and you get tired around Vicksburg, you might try Rivertown Campground, definitely not fancy but a decent overnight spot....level gravel sights...easy in and out....quiet...the Hostess is very nice.....no trees, none, nada, zip, zero....all pull-thru.....it's a Passport America park if you are members. south on 61 a few miles off I20 (have to do a U-turn on 61 to get to it) we did it in our rig with a toad
One very key thing if you do stay at Rivertown, make 'sure' you have plenty of sewer hose....hook ups are at the rear of the pull-thrus, took us a little over 30'
