According to their book, Blue Ox recommends +/- 3 inches height difference to prevent excessive stress on the toad. Particuliary when coming to a stop.

I took their advice and just ordered a 10 inch drop. I hope I measured correctly. We will be pulling our Jeep Wrangler for the first time in two weeks.

I use a 4" drop on my 2016 369DS and JK Jeep Blue Ox setup and it is about an inch higher on the coach side. Tows great and brakes fine with the Patriot brake system. When I spoke to a Blue Ox rep, they didn't mention an angle degree, rather mentioned that the height difference shouldn't be more than 2 or 3 inches between coach and toad height.
