I think you miss quoted the amount, It should be 78 per year with a 500 deductible. I just bought the Good Sam warranty for my TT and it was 100 per year for 6 years with 500 deductible. Figured for that price couldn't go wrong. I also have the GS roadside and use it at least once a year since the kids still drive POS that breakdown all the time. I pay 100/year for that also to cover all 6 of my vehicles. Never waited more than 30 minutes for a tow truck and never paid a penny for the tow.

Okay, I looked up the exclusion page in the booklet.

The XtraRide policy cost $4780 for 6 yrs., supposedly 30% off at the time of purchase. Yes expensive but supposed to be a higher-end policy, but is it really? I looked at the exclusion page(s) (TWO FULL PAGES) and too much to repeat so I'll keep it short. It mentions water so I take it any delamination or other items damaged by water are not covered. Also, rust or corrosion, batteries, bedding, body trim, seat frames, upholstery, glass of any kind, doors, cabinets and vanities, sealants, washers and grouting, furniture, upholstery fabric, wood finish, louvers, vents, racks, shelves, roofing materials, seals for slideouts and doors, wall coverings, ceilings and wood framing, window assemblies, window shades, brake drums and rotors, exhaust systems, external bolts, fuses, head/tail light assemblies, hoses, illumination devices, spark plugs, wires, speakers. ---WOW, THAT LEAVES OUT ALOT. ...really what is left to cover?

I think I will be talking to the insurance company about this and probably cancelling. I 'think' I can extend the manufactures warranty for another year or two for a fraction of the cost and like so many have said "put the money in a jar for when it does break". I'm handy and can do simple stuff like change a slide motor or pump, I really bought it for major stuff, however, getting them to pay for something may not happen since it looks like there are so many loopholes listed they can weasel out ot it.

So if I can handle the small stuff what would something major cost anyway (delamination, bent/cracked frame, leaky roof ...) I've read where some had to ship their unit back to have the side or front cap taken off or to have the frame fixed?

So many stories about warranty issues I wonder if anyone has had any luck and actually grateful they had the coverage.

As with all warranties and insurance policies, you're betting you need it, they're betting you won't, and your rooting for them.
