Grey water

Here is a new one, when I empty my grey water the water come out slow then ear some bubbling and it stop flowing out as if empty. If I close the trap and re open it, it bubbles again and a little come out then stop as if empty again. Look inside at the gauge and it show 1/3 full not empty? Obviously it looks like it is not emptying fully for some reasons and I am pretty sure it is the case since it takes less time now to fill it up.

I would guess you have the hole that they cut in the holding tank for the inlet in the holding tank. I had the same issue but was under warranty. They had to remove the drain pipes and remove the obstruction.

Or your vent is plugged.

Or the dreaded stone mountain keeping things from working properly. Whether it is the stone mountain or a blockage of some other sort, you definitely have a clog of some sort. Do you flush your tank? What tank management method do you use (i.e. drop ins, geo method, none).

I had a similar problem not long ago and figured it out myself. I had purchased a rubber doughnut to put on the end of my drainage pipe where it enters the ground. I though it was great because it keeps the smell from coming up from the sewer line on a full hookup site. The only problem is when it is time to drain the tanks guess what happened. Yup I get a full flow for a short while and then a trickle with a glug glug every so often. I discovered that it was not getting any air where it enters the ground and would not let the air escape the sewer line. Easy fix I just remove the doughnut when its time to drain the camper tanks.

That sounds like the campground sewer line isn't properly vented.

The only way it could be a (Stone Mountain) is if they are Crapping in the (Sink)! It is their (Gray Tank) not draining! Hole saw Plug left in Tank! Youroo!!

Our dealer said "the gray ones aren't to bad, IT'S THOSE &%$ BLACK TANK PLUGS."
I suggested he mail the black ones to Forest River quality control, just the way they are when they take them out. He said that was an excellent idea and he would send the next one , ours was already in the trash.

How do you know it is empty? Do you have a clear elbow? I thought I had an issue but it turned out the water had completely filled the hose but was still flowing, making it silent. Leave your valve open for another few minutes after you think it has stopped and see what happens.

X5 on the saw hole plug! Been dealing with it for 3 years! My solution was to install a twist on third valve on the hose connection out side the wet bay. When the gray blocks up I ensure the gray valve is open...close the newly installed third valve and open the black valve for about three seconds. The black water, assuming you had some in the black tank, forces the "air bubble" trapped between the three valves up through the gray valve and blowing the plastic disk away from the opening. You will hear the effect that is happening as a loud bubbling. Now ensure that the black is closed and open the third, exterior, valve and WHOOSH...the gray drains. If you have a problem with a little black water perhaps getting into you gray tank you can always drain the black and fill with fresh water from the tank flush system before performing the procedure. It's a pain in the butt but it's better than spend a lot of bucks on having the belly opened up at a dealer to try and get it fixed!

Made sens to me so I unscrewed it from the campground line to let the air in open the trap water flow for good for a bit then start coming out of the campground line, thought the line was plugged called maintenance they unplugged it and now working like new. Thanks for the tips.

I have had the same issue with the gray tank every now and then, I purchased a back flush system and back flush the gray and it works great. I keep the gray open when we are at full hookups and never have issues until we close it off and travel then I may have to use the back flush system to completely drain. Not too bad cus when I do the gray I can also do the black and I know that its completely clean.,,,
