GT 351: controlling furnace from rear thermostat

Anyone care to offer a theory of why our rear thermostat doesn't kick on the furnace? The front thermostat works fine but for some reason the back one isn't controlling the furnace.

It's not a huge deal, as the front one works fine, just curious why it won't work the same as front.

With front thermostat off, rear thermostat set to "auto", "furnace" and a high enough temp to call for heat...nothing.

Thx,

Mike

You have two A/C units and need two thermostats to control each unit. You only have one furnace and only need one thermostat for it. FR picked the front one.

I'll go with that Al. I suspected as much.

Thx

Mike

PS...seems like we were all just talking about air conditioning!

Yup, same here. Froze my arse off putting the trash out today. Oh, and FL has no State taxes and beautiful roads.
