GT 351DFS water hook up???

I know this might be a simple question for some of you but we rather be safe than end up with a mess.
Going on our first trip with our 2013 351DFS class A to awesome Zion.
we will have full hook ups. Do I need a water pressure regulator or should I connect straight in from the park hook up?
What do you normally do on your class A's?

I use to connect the pressure regulator with our Trailer but not sure on MH?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, told ya it was a simple one!

George

There is nothing different with the plumbing with either a TT or a motor home. If you used it with your TT then you should use it again with your motor home.

Thanks for the reply on this and not to doubt what you recommend as I also agree with you. During a ocassional conversation with the onwer of the dealer (post purchase) he mentioned that Class A's had that feature built in and as you can tell it got me thinking (as well as doubting myself of course).....

I haven't heard that but wouldn't risk it regardless. I also have a 351dsf, reach out with any questions!

Brian thanks a bunch....

if I can bother you with another question....
Do you run both AC's while driving or just one at a time? or none?

PS - We almost got the same color GT as yours when we were looking but ended up with the Latte color because of the frig.....Nice

We don't need a/c in coach most of the time only dash a/c, but it is just two of us. If traveling with others you may need coach a/c. Living area a/c should be sufficient to cool, you should be able to run both but wouldn't think you would need rear a/c. Good luck!!!

I don't think we've run all 3 yet going down the road, but maybe next week on our trip to the southwest. I like to be comfortable so I run the dash air pretty much full time plus the l/r coach air when needed for the family. I'm sure you could run all 3 going down the road with no issues.

Got a front TV and a bedroom TV (aft TV should function while driving). Crank up the GEN get the air going in the bedroom and let the kids watch a DVD on aft TV. Keeps them occupied for a while.

Yep - with 3 kids, if the RV is moving the generator is running anyway! LOL. Last time I took it to storage (about a 15 minute trip), two of the kids went with me, and I hadn't made it out of the subdivision yet and they were yelling that the TV wouldn't come on. Really?

JKJ- just noticed your signature. Get a jeep wrangler unlimited for your toad. We probably would never have bought one without needing it for the RV. My family LOVES it, probably more than the RV. My wife probably hasn't had the top on 3 times since we bought it.

Thank you all for all the suggestions and comments - I didn't have a chance to reply as I was on a day long training but will take your input.

Networx- We'll be shopping this fall for a toad....haven't had the chance as we're enjoying GT. How does your MH do towing your toad....?

Hi Networx

We are ready to sign the papers on a 2013 GT 351 dsf. I am wondering if you have any advise. The dealer tells us the MSRP = $119, 000 and they will sell it to us for $89,125. I have not been able to confirm if this is a fair price.

I did notice the MSRP includes 1,115.73 for PDI then on the contract it shows 651.00 again for PDI. I am going to address that we go in to complete the deal. I was hoping you may have other advise for us

We paid $85 and I felt like we got a pretty good deal.

RELHUB,

We just got a 2012 very gently used 350XL triple slide (the big brother to the 351) for $84,250. We love it and I would encourage anyone to take a look for a year or two older models as well. That's what I'd recommend you do to make sure you get the right deal.

Good luck!

Neill

In May we purchased a 2010 373 with 4500 mi for $57,000 and I feel that we got an exceptional deal. But a new 351 for 89,000 also sounds like a good deal. Good luck with your decision making process.

I purchased a 2013 351 DS for 89 about 2 months ago. The "sticker" was 123. I got them to throw in a 1K watt inverter and road master tow set-up to pull my CRV.
