GT 5 mod #4 dinette seat storage

I sanded both seats, enlarged the lifting holes, and made slots for the seat belts. I used 2 hinges on each seat. The gas struts are 10 inch Derblue from Amazon. I also stapled the Velcro in a more correct location. Now it is easy to move a cushion and have access to storage without trying to hold up the plywood .

The 2019.5 and later has the wraparound dinette so you can stretch out and still have back support so the arrangement is a bit different. I also was planning to add velcro to the plywood to keep the cushions in place because mine has none. I take it yours had the velcro as standard?

Is that tray a pull-out? Did you add that or was it factory? That will be a forthcoming project for me.

Maybe you could cut the seat off square at the radius, add support under the seat at that point and hing the rest
The velcro was in mine, but it did not match the cushion. I moved it to match and stapled into the seat
The wire rack is a pull out. I will list this as my mod #5 in a couple of weeks when I get back from N M

I think I'm going to order some Medium trays from these folks: https://www.shelvesthatslide.com/mm5...vc?Screen=PLST

The forward one, without the seat belts on ours, can be 17.5" wide x 35" deep if you select the Blum full extension slides but NOT the soft-close. They have a floor mount bracket.

The rear one (on ours) with the seat belts can barely be 15" wide if that due to the seat belt bracket but can still be 36" long. But we're only using about 6" of each one right now anyway.

Great idea! I think I'll add this to my winter RV project list.

I was excited to see the post today from Btm showing the wire trays he used. Looking back thru his posts, I saw this post from you with your suggested mod for the GT5 34H5. Did you install the extension trays in your GT5? We have the same 34H5 layout and plan to make this improvement to ours.
