Handicapped entry to 351DS

My wife just had knee replacement, also has Osteo Arthritis, and is seriously diabetic. We have a new GT 351DS and I (we) are wondering if anyone has had experience with disabled folks getting in the MH? She won't always have this problem but we don't want to lose this season either

I'm open to any suggestions. I've thought about a ramp but would need to find a portable version that I could collapse and store in the large rear compartment.

Check this video out for a portable lift.
Just found it with a quick search.
I'm sure that other ideas will pop up.

Thanks Iggy. It looks like it will fit perfectly underneath the awning I've been complaining about being too high. I am gonna check this one out.

I like the second video.
I just found the company website. They are located east of Phoenix AZ near me.

Here is another video of how you have to put the parts together for use.

Look like about $5,000 with free shipping and comes in different heights.

THANKS Iggy, I'm gonna check this out Monday morning. I like this better than a ramp because some sites won't have enough room for a ramp and this will allow her to come and go on her own it look like.

Yes I do like it better than a ramp.
MY DW may need something like this in the next 5 years or so.
It look like they will install at their site or it looks like you can install yourself.
May be worth the $5k even if you sell someone will but the rig with it built in.

DW (jb) has similar health problems.

When did your DW have her surgery?
The recovery from knee surgery is weeks and not months like just a few years ago.

IF SHE DOES HER PHYSICAL THERAPY!

Took jb about 6 weeks to be better (much better) than pre replacement.

She had the replacement on Apr 21. It will be two weeks Monday. One of the problems that compound the whole issue is that they put her on a blood thinner and took her off the arthritis medicine. This caused a rebound pain effect on all the other joints in her body. She is faithfully doing the therapy and working through the pain. She'll be happy to hear the 6 weeks!

They didn’t take her off any of her dozen or so arthritis meds.

One thing that may have help her speedy recovery was Savella for Fibromyalgia.
The therapist kept raving about her very speedy recovery.
She was just getting up to her full dosage and was MORE comfortable than she had been in YEARS!

Then at the end of her rehab her blood pressure went thru the roof!!! 190's over 100's
She’s off Savella but is NOW taking 3 (was on 1) BP meds just to keep it a little high.

Happy to report DW got full knee replacement on 21st and was able to mount steps to the GT with aid of cane only yesterday. Docs put her back on arthritis meds and gave her thumbs up for short trips in MH of 1 hour as long as trips in/out of MH are limited. Will be released for full travel memorial day. Now I gotta buy TOAD and hitch and by years end social security and full timing.
