Have a Question

Getting ready to do our first dry camping trip to Pocono Raceway for the June race and need to clean, refresh, sterilize the water tank so we can take showers and wash dishes. Up till now we only carry enough water to flush the toilet while on the road and the water that is in the tank is over two years old and has never been "freshened".

The question is: How do you get bleach into the fresh water tank and how much?

Any help will be appreciated and I'll buy you a cup of Joe.

Chuck

Drain the 2 year old water!

Pour the bleach down your garden hose then stick it in the fw fill.
Turn on water slowly to fill tank.

1/4 cup per 15 gallon ratio.

Use a funnel to get the bleach in the hose.

Dilute the bleach in a couple gallons of water before dumping it into your tank, that stuff is a little rough on the plumbing undiluted.

A plastic adult beverage cup works pretty good too. 1/2 cup to 50 gals, squeeze and pour...

Captain Safety Says:

Old clothes (You are gonna get bleach on em no matter how good you are.)

Rubber Gloves (Bleach burns are no joke)

Eye protection (Goggles are a must - a splash will ruin your day - maybe a lot of days).
