Made it back from our vacation, the MH worked great no issues at all. Went to Hells Gate SP, for five nights. It was a nice park and has a bycicle path from the park that goes to Lewiston/Clarkston. Took Jet boat from park to Hells Canyon Dam, 104 miles. It made for a long day, but what a ride. The boat powers over rapids up to and including class 4. The ride up was fun, the ride down was exciting to say the least. If you have a chance to do this, do it.
Moved down river about 20 miles to Chief Timothy Park, nice park but neighbors were terrible, ruined that park for us. Explored the Wallowa mountains, Grande Rounde river areas. Just beatiful, and great history to boot. Wallowa valley is the home of the Nez Perce, Indiains. Most of the area we cover so far were along the Trail of Tears, where Chief Joseph fought the US Army while in full retreat. Their story is very sad, but worth reading about.
Next we went down to Central Ferry Park, Great park again it was a US Army Corps of Engineer park. We explored the Blue Mountians, and Walla Walla area including Dayton and Waitsburg. Drove up the Tucannon, and Touchet rivers, and made it up to Palouse Falls. All in all it was a wonderfull trip.
On another note 2009 and newer Escapes are towable.
