Heat from the sun on the front of the coach

First real time out in our GT XL 350TS. Its gonna be great but I suspect really warm in the summer time. It was about 70-ish today, got parked and setup. Sun was going down basically on the front of the coach. We had the sun shade and night shades down on all 3 sides. Notice a lot of heat collecting up front. Not sure what we will do once summer gets here. The A/C is gonna have to work overtime

Anyone have suggestions that can be done on this beautiful rig?

Check out this web site, http://www.rvsunshades4less.com we have the shade for the windshield we are going to get the ones for the pilot and co-pilot. The one for the windshield helped so much, it dropped the temp by 10 degrees in just a few minutes. And you can see through it, you almost forget it is there.

We use these shades also. They do help a lot.

I bought a magneshade and really like it. Look at www.magneshade.com. They are made specifically for your coach for a custom fit, require no snaps or toggles and it is quick and easy to put on or take off.

On my older Mirada I made covers for the windshield. These fit inside over the entire windshield are are held in place with a couple poles. BIG difference. (I used the silverized bubble wrap stuff)

I also tinted all the other windows, again, big difference.

Thanks for ideas - Reflectix(the silver bubble wrap stuff) is our fall back plan - I am hoping to find something comparable and more appealing to our outside folks. Granted, if I knew someone how could paint, I would have something designed not the Reflectix.

It really helps if you can get a site that faces North. That way the brutal West sun in the afternoon is blocked by the coach and the patio is in the shade. I also insulated the inside of my cabinets with foil faced insulation board. Really cuts down on the temp in the cabinets. Easy to do. Cuts with a knife. Installed with some foil tape.

We have a 2013 377 xl and we also had heat in between window and electric shade , so we looked into all options and choose the magna shade . Boy it sure does help and also goes on in a minute and no snaps or anything . I put it on by myself . I also ordered side covers back window cover and tire covers , pleased with product .

We are wintering in yuma az this year so you can feel the warmth. .

Got it at home depot or Lowe's. It is about 1/2 inch thick, faced on both sides with foil. Cuts with a knife. I cut it slightly larger so it pressure fit, put the back in first, then the upper. Sealed the seams with foil HVAC tape. One 4x8 sheet did all of my upper cabinets and one of the kitchen, as well as the cabinets over the windshield. Not expensive. Like $15????

I bought a couple of small rolls of Reflectix @ Menards and used cardboard,,, to make window covers for every window in our Sunseeker,,, mainly for use when storing !!!
I did not like the price of the Refectix tape,,, so I used clear shipping on the seams !!!

X3 on these - we bought them last year and it's amazing how much sun they keep out, and you can still see outside. We also got some of the short ones and have them on the side windows while driving - really keeps the sun out of your eyes from the side (the roller shades move around too much when driving for my taste)
