Help. Only one side of slide working

2017 GT5 31L bedroom slide only one side is functioning. Where do I start? Just arrived at destination and can’t extend the bedroom. Main slide working ok.

Start with the easy things first make sure you are plugged in or on generator and the batteries are fully charged. then check for power at the slide if no power search for an inline fuse to that slide.

Definite have power. Batteries full. One side moves fine until it binds because the other side is dead with no movement. No luck finding the controller or a fuse yet. I arrive at destination tonight and will search more thoroughly. Appreciate the suggestions.

Here are links to a slide manual and a YouTube video on how the AccuSlide is adjusted and how some of the troubleshooting is done. Maybe one side of your slide has cables that are not tightened properly or for some other reason are in need of adjusting. If you have the same kind of slide this could help you. My slide motor on the one slide is behind the wooden header over the slide and is pretty hard to get to when the slide is in without being a contortionist.

No literature of any help with my RV purchase. So I don’t know the type of slide mechanism but the slides have 2 ridged grooved bars top and bottom that I assume a gear motor turns.

SOLVED! Controller was inside black box at back passenger compartment. I swapped power lines to each motor and it jumpstarted the one that wasn’t working. Many tweaks in and out and it’s all good now. Thanks for all the input and thank you Jeff Hood at FR who answered my call and went the extra mile to find out the location for me.

Slide

Mine did the same thing, but I was able to push the slide in and out while someone held the button to activate the other side

Check for loose connections especially if the motor is close to the slide. Use electrical tape to secure all the connections. That's how I solved my similar problem.

Help. Only one side of slide working

So got it out but back in took 30 min of tweaking, very low power and mostly one side working. I’ll have to take it to a repair place at this point. As a side note, all bedroom LED ceiling lights have also failed. Hmmmm.
