I'm impressed. Sorry to hear about the mishap. Things happen. Hopefully, you'll be back on the road soon.

You can solve that bug problem real easy. Glue them to your dash board!!

The ones I've used in the past work with airflow. They have some now that won't clog up.

I've wondered how you know that those whistles actually make any sound. Could easily be a ripoff even if real ones work on deer.

They do work. I've never hit one. LOL

I'll call Myth Busters to see if they'll do an episode on it...or have they already done it?

Venison hot dogs stuffed with cheese are the BEST!.
I once hit three deer within a couple miles from home. After I hit the first one I stopped to call my husband but he didn't answer so I continued. Another mile, another deer and I'm going 10mph by then and bam another.
Limped home and found out he didn't answer the phone because he was outside - deer hunting. I got more than he did.

We received a neighborhood permit to take as many as we want any time of year from the wildlife official. Although they are considered a nuisance animal he said enough folks are moving out into the county/agricultural areas that do not realize it is ok. By issuing the permit he doesn't have to interrupt his Sunday dinner to come out and explain to the Sheriffs Deputy that it was ok for us to be shooting and taking deer. My closest neighbor and I are just waiting for it to cool down some in the fall so we can refill our freezers.
