Home Theatre effect

When a DVD is put in the DVD player, the sound goes through the speakers throughout the RV giving a very good sound like a home theatre. But what about when you aren't playing a DVD? When just using the TV, the sound comes out of the TV speakers only. Has anyone been able to set it up so the TV audio also goes through the other speakers in the RV.

Don't know which one you have, but on ours if you change the input of the radio to aux, the sound of the TV goes through the stereo. Try cycling through the inputs of your radio, it's probably hooked up to one of them.

To expand on the other repliers, check your tv to see if there is an audio out. Mine has a Tip Ring Sleeve plug (like a stereo headphone). If so connect that to the radio's audio input. Check your TV menu's. If it has one, there will probably be a TV output adjustment on one of the menus that allows you to mute the TV speakers or choose external speakers.

The functionality mentioned above applies to the TV in the Living room, not the front tv (above the windshield) if you have one.

I tried doing this and it doesn't work. I'm not sure if DirectTV may have done something to prevent this functionality when they did the installation.

Check the manual in your library or online first. They will show input/output connections on the back. They can be RCA phono plugs or HDMI or both. One you know where they are, remove the radio and check for connections, you'll already know what each is for.

It is a little tricky to get it to work, there are 2 Aux 2 outputs, one under the "Front" selection screen and one under the "Rear" selection screen I honestly cant remember which one it is (I think the Front) you will see the little icon of a car at the bottom right of the screen, if you touch that it switches between the two options. All else fails, check the manual.
