Hot water heater not working.

The electric side of water heater quit working. The gas side works perfect. Any ideas. Thanks for the help.

Try pushing the reset button on the water heater itself. There are two round rubber buttons. One on the left is electric and the one on the right is for propane.

Like Old Coot said, reset the CB. If not, you could have a bad heating element. Check for voltage at the base of the element.

Empty water heater + electricity = trip to the hardware store.

Make sure it's plugged in. Mine actually has a cord that plugs into an outlet in a closet. And yes I unplugged it one winter and forgot all about it. 3 camping trips later I figured out why it wasn't working.

Where is the electric heating element? The breakers were ok and I think the element must be bad.

The electric element is inside the suburban water heater. Do a you tube search for changing a suburban water heater element. There are several videos.
