Hot water temp

So in our house you can go to the hot water heater and set the temp.. In our current coach I have looked for any kind of temp adjustment and I see nothing.. Is there an adjustment for these water heaters.. They make awful hot water for kids to use or grand kids and even adults

If you have an Atwood water heater.

Factory setting is around 140 degrees, we have to mix lots of cold water in order for the temp to be comfortable.

They are fixed thermostat controlled. May be able to buy a lower temp control thermostat. The 2 thermostats (both 12 volt propane and 120 volt replaceable heating element) are under the rubber cover you see in the access compartment. They can be changed without draining tank as they sense temperature of tank skin. Have not read of anyone changing them on this forum

X2 the temp setting is fixed. However you can contact the mfg, number in book should have been provided at purchase or look up on line. I did change mine a few years back, they offered about 5 temp ranges. Thermostat includes the overtemp trip also.
