House battery question

Ok when hooked up to power or running on generator my battery monitor shows fully charged. However when unplugged from power and generator and engine is off the battery monitor shows empty of charge and nothing works that should be covered by house battery. In checking the voltage on the batteries they show plenty of charge. Any ideas

Just a thought, but if you have the battery disconnect turned off, would the status lights still get a signal from shore power or generator?

Yes it does. You have to turn the disconnect switch on. When you plug in to shore or start the generator the light on the switch shows there is power available but you have to flip the switch to connect it. We learned that one the same way, way back when.
