We're usually just long weekenders, and more than once a month is a treat. Therefore, I usually drop the water from the low point drains so there's no stagnant water in the lines between trips. Probably not needed, but it's just my thang...

Always physically check and lock cargo doors - we had one open on us on a recent trip.

Check lights. Yeah, that's a hangover from my trailer days, but again, it's my peace of mind.

Coming from a Northern Climate I never ever put the emergency brake
on. It seizes up and sticks.

the list

I always follow the same set up and dismantle. Except, we had the rig park at the house overnight. We were detailing the inside so we had the rig leveled and the slides out. That evening I pull in the slides and kept the rig level. Next morning I went out to move the rig back into storage when I fired up the engine and put him into reverse. Well, all hell broke loose. Lights flashing, a huge drop and I freaked out. Thank God the parking brake was on and everything worked the way it was suppose to otherwise we could have been replacing some jacks. So, always check to make sure the jacks are up.

Checklists

Have made many checklists and am attaching them for your convenience. I found them very helpful ... especially for not forgetting to lower the TV antenna.

True! I wish I could do the same. My emergency brake drags when I first start driving, because I have to use it to park in my severely sloping driveway. Also, my favorite campsite isn't level and I have to drive up on levelers, so I use it too.

Lists are well and good, but we ALWAYS do a walk around before we pull out. We BOTH walk around. Does not hurt and sometimes we find things.

Adventure Trek RV Checklist app for smartphone or tablet. It's a comprehensive list that you can customize by adding items or deleting items. Works great for me and is there when you need it.(I tend to lose paper things) Best of all, it's free.

Don't have to be from north. My brakes have frozen here.

Thanks for that. I added a couple to my trailer "go pick-up list". I may or may not have thought of.

Emergency brakes do that if they do not get used regularly !!!
You should always set your brake when parking on an incline,,, before you shift into Park !!!
