How do you fix driver and passenger screen rattles?

Wondering how others have fixed the annoying screen rattles when going down the road.

I stick a small piece of paper plate in there and that works. I've had it in for service, no luck.

I can't determine whether it's the screens rattling or the windows. Sure makes a lot of noise!

Where are you putting this? Between the screen and window?

There are already two shims built into the window. Open the window and move the screen... you'll see them.

I take the paper plate and fold it like a u around the window right at one of the shims and close it. On our rig, the screens don't rattle, this takes care of all of the noise.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Locate the anti-rattle inserts. You may have two or three. See red arrows.

The glass window should not go into the inserts easily. If it does, it will rattle, and you have to adjust the inserts. I adjusted our on our very first trip. They were driving me nuts so I just pulled over grabbed a flat head screwdriver and closed them up....rattles gone up to date.

I took my screens out altogether - gives better visibility too.

Yup, the screens were the first thing to go. Like you said, better visibility and they rattled. The only time we open them is if it's good weather while driving.

I went to Walmart in the screen door repair/door weatherproofing gaskets and cut pieces to fit the screen frame sitting against the glass. It was cheap and easy and stopped the rattling. Made my husband very happy.
