We all look up to you Iggy!
Will be there for our first one and look forward to saying thanks personally.
Seminar sounds like a great idea.

Question for those who have done this...is it better to arrive early, mid day or later on the 14th in terms of the lines for parking. I understand there is no advantage in choice of sites based on arrival day or time...just interested in avoiding the worst traffic/wait. 800 rigs are a lot to park in a day!

Second question is...if we have some time to kill...how is the The Shipshewana Auction. ??? We like flea markets...worth our time?
Look forward to seeing everyone there!

I'm not sure there is any particular time that is better than another to arrive. It's purely a crap shoot. I've seen it backed up one minute but empty the next. The crews do a good job of getting those through the gates quickly.

We're signed up and are expecting to volunteer again this year. I expect that by the rally, our (purchased new) 2011 Georgetown will have over 80k miles on it!

Last year the parking crew had you in your spot in just a few minutes from arriving.
The biggest holdup was motorhomes disconnecting their cars out front.
Everyone had a Follow-Me Kart crew take you to your spot the Herks crew took over and helped you position and back in.
The parking crews are all amazing volunteers.

There's no way to park 800 in a day, so we encourage early arrivals starting as early as Wednesday, August 10, for those interested in early arrival. For early arrival, please call the fairgrounds at (574) 533-3247. Keep in mind, though, as mentioned above, that early arrival doesn't guarantee a "better" (read "full hookup") site.
On whatever day you arrive, we encourage you to come in early in the day. Traffic is generally lighter then, and, if we're going to have a backup at all, it's better to have it early so that there's an opportunity to get it cleared.
There's a dinner on Sunday, the 14th, so you'll want to have an opportunity to get in, get settled and registered, and be able to go to dinner, as well as giving the parking team an opportunity to eat as well.

We are also registered and it's our first time at this rally. We are also booked for the Mayberry Rally. We were previous Columbus owners and members of their Facebook Group. Are all of you requesting to be parked together or wherever you are parked when you arrive. We are currently on the Columbus listing but might request to be in the area with Georgetowns.

It will depend, at least in part, on how many indicate that they want to swim in it.

FROG Bob just wrote after I asked about a Georgetown factory tour.
" Iggy, there's a brand new Georgetown plant under construction right behind forest river's corporate headquarters in Elkhart. We expect it to be open in time for the frog rally. If it is, we'll be able to schedule bus tours to Georgetown for the first time."
Let's hope it is open by the time the rally is in August.
