How much should a front end aligment cost
I have plans on having my local Ford dealer (Commercial truck & RV) do a front end aligment of my Georgetown. They want to do a lasar alignment from back wheel to front also.
FR will pay for the aligment after I send them the invoice. I sent them a msg asking what is the max I can spend.
What have past alignments cost?

Mine cost about $130. It was computerized but I'm not sure about the laser front to back

I paid $375 for front allignment including the castor adjustment parts on a new 2010 E450 class C. I paid top dollar I suspect, but I trust the shop I took it to and the results have been better than I expected.

I have found it rare for any car/truck mfg to cover front end alignment over the past 46 yrs.

Forest River paid for mine including centering the steering wheel (which required getting into the steering gear box). The whole deal was between the dealer and FR, so I have no idea how much it was. I dropped it off at the dealer with a few items to fix and they took care of driving about 20 miles to the nearest Ford dealer and back again. I think I must have bought it from the best dealer in the world based on all the horror stories I hear. I've had a total of about 60 items fixed since I got it - all under warranty and 5 trips to the dealer. I'll try to post the most important items so everyone knows what to look for.....

Funny, I was in an Forest River approved shop a few days back, Hamburg Pa. I overheard the service supervisor telling a customer " Oh FR no longer covers that service. They consider the owner packing the unit with gear is cause for the owners to have it checked". I was wondering how long the gravy train would last.

So your statement being 3rd party is true? LOL
I have a written document from my FR contact to get my front end aligned at Ford and forward the invoice to him for reinbursment.
Sounds like Forest River still stands behind their products.
This is as of a 5/7/12 .

If the dealer in question is the one at I-78 and rt 61 that sells boats and rvs, I'd get another opinion.

I agree with the above:
Iggy says it ain't true but it is. This facility is a modest 20+ bay repair facility. Its the largest I've ever seen, built in sight of Cabellas, the largest ....... Anyway, I didn't quote FR as saying, only a Repair supt at this shop. I personally don't give a d... if they will pay or not. I'd like to get my hydraulics fixed, they couldn't.

I hope I am not late but here goes. My 360 was about 6 mo old but FR picked up the cost. ( 3 of those were winter). My rig is 38 ft, too long at ford truck dealer (30 ft max). Took her to a frame alignment shop cost $275. I paid the bill and FR reimbursed me. Talk to April - 574.206.7603. Hope this helps ( front tires were out about an inch,)

Just had mine done a few weeks ago. Sent FR a copy of my Ford dealers invoice. FR sent me a check for reinburement of $250.80 for my frontend alignment. This was preapproved by John Armstrong and I had owned my rig only 60 days.

e450 alignment
Hello forum,
I am trying to find a alignment shop in Iowa that can align my 3010ds is there some one that knows of a good shop in des moines.
I found one place that says they do the class c called hill top tire he said they do it the old school way and I would not get a print out. The cost would be $259 if it needed both bushings what do you all think. thanks for input Dale.

Alignment
I had FR/GT do an alignment before it left the factory and they emailed me a copy of the printout. This was not normal, but everything I have asked for is "not Normal" to them.
When I got it home and did all of my NOT CHF (Sumos, Rear Roll Bar, Steering Stabilizer), I had an alignment performed the old fashion way that works 100% - Pins, strings, and bubbles - hardly available anywhere any more. Everyone opts for the quick Computers, .... Everything was aligned correctly. My mechanic was willing and able to adjust, but nothing was needed.
You can see from the pic, GT actually had to make adjustments to get the alignment correct. Unfortunately, 1 attaboy does not make up for 50+ Dumb S***S plus required upgrades I have experienced since pick up!
BTW, If I was not getting all of my suspension work done, an alignment from him is apx $100-130. If just a check with no adjustment, it would probably be even lower.

If someone wants to check their toe adjustment, its fairly easy to do and takes about 15 minutes.
