how to clean your georgetown

Good morning Georgetowners

I've been poking around search the form on wash & wax questions. While I've never waxed my TT, it shows, I would like to start fresh with my Georgetown. I see it a personal preference to Miguairs Marine Wax or Turtle wax. I also see to protect the decals a product called 303??

Ok, so you you don't wax the decals? Do you wax first then apply the 303? I'm just not sure the correct process. What does it do if you wax your decals? What type wash do I use? I used a wash/wax on my TT but heard thats not the way to go. If we are waxing this enormous rig, do they make very large wax applicators, or is that called your son or daughter.

I know way too many questions before your first cup of coffee. Well, have one on me and enjoy the morning.

Thanks

I wash my MH with Meguiares Gold Class wash and then use a product called Wash Wax All. (No petroleum additives)I spray it on while I'm wiping the still wet MH with a synthetic chamous. It leaves a waxed finish and UV protection without having to buff it in. Even though it has UV protection I still like to follow up with a coat of 303 on the decals and black mirrors. I also use 303 on the black AC covers and shower skylight. I like the Meguiares wash as it leaves almost no water spots for the times I am simply doing a quick wash and don't have time, or energy to wipe dry.
I used to use 303 from top to bottom but it is a lot of work to buff it in even when used properly.

Wash and wax with your preferred products. I use Nu-Finish right over decals and all. My preference of product is based on my years with a boat sitting in the sun at a marina from May 15 to Oct. 15 every year. Though I do not use 303 on my GT (too cheap to fork out $50-60 a gallon at CW) it was my go to protectant on my boat, which was black (ugh!) and red. I never thought is was a tough application, wipe on and wipe off back then. Excellent on vinyl and tires too, including your car's interior.

I purchased a gallon of 303 on eBay. Seemed to be the cheapest, free shipping and no tax.

Amazon has it also. It doesn't take much, if you spray it on too heavy it is harder to buff in. I have found the soft microfiber clothes work very well.

When doing what I call a quick job I use Turtle Wax--Wax & Dry to keep the paint protected and prevent water spots. It is great. I wax my entire unit sections at a time twicr per year with Meguires Gold Class Carniba paste wax. We have full body paint so I dont have to deal with decals. Hope this helps

I purchased the full line of 303 products that applied to my Georgetown from Amazon. Was best price I found and free shipping! Came in quick. Plan on using it next weekend! Will let you know how it all works!

Awesome, did you get the 303 fabric for the dash etc... What about the roof? I heard you don't want to wax it as wax gets into the little groves? So what are you using? Keep me posted!

Thanks

For the fiberglass roof I use Mop n Glo. Once a year I give it a good cleaning then apply four coats of MnP. Seems to work good. I personally wouldn't want to use anything that would make the roof to slippery in case stop need to be up there to investigate an issue like leaks etc.

Rain X Carnuba wax balls and maguier's yellow wax #26 It's easy on and off and really protects the clear coating. This wax is usually used on very expensive custom paint jobs. Enjoy!

Mop n Glo goes on so easy it doesn't take long at all to do four coats as each coat builds it up. May be more than needed but it is so quick what the heck!

Ok went out over Labor Day and decided to 303 the decals & wax the rest, WOW... That's a lot of RV...

How do you guys apply the 303?? I found when I sprayed it on a cloth then applied it to the graphic without getting any on the rest of the coach it streaked. If I sprayed the graphic and didn't care if it over sprayed the rest of the coach the graphic looked fine. The I waxed the rest and it shined ☀️...

Do you 303 your entire coach or is wax the better option?
