I just drove from California to Florida on it. I didn't think any parts were exceptionally bad...

There is a portion between Baton Rouge and Lafayette that is about 10/15 miles of bad/rough road.

I was on a section of I-10 in south Texas a week ago. Found nothing remarkable to the negative.

I drove a long section I-10 near Junction - Ft. Stockton 3 years ago and had no issues.

There has been, and still is, a lot of repair work happening. The bad areas are worse on fivers than mh. The dips and rises are spaced to where they create a strong rocking motion sometimes. Front to back. I'm in north LA and I49 is better with recent repairs. Hopefully I10 is also. Either way its nothing that a change in speed can't fix. Safe travels.

I10 west of Houston has an 80mph speed limit and many vehicles are going much faster than that. Nice highway surface. Boring scenery. Takes a full day of driving to get out of Texas. Back in the Bayou, it is somewhat uneven but much better than a few years ago. Just don't go through New Orleans unless you really need to.

Unless you want to go to New Orleans, be sure to get on I-12. It connects directly to I-10, and is much shorter and faster than staying on I-10 through New Orleans. I made that mistake one time...

We just came from Louisiana to Texas yesterday. There are some very rough spots in Louisiana. The sections of highway that are still cement, with expansion joints every 20 feet, are terrible. The coach was rattling terribly. I has to slow down to 55 just to get through.

^^^^ What Cornelius said! ^^^^^^

Keep in mind that I 10 across LA and TX is @ 1200 miles. So there are going to be parts that are better and parts that are not.
