Improved Steering Stability

After significant research and debate, I finally pulled the trigger and selected the Steer-Safe Stabilizer. I installed them yesterday and it was very easy. It took about 30 minutes. I took the rig for a test drive and the difference was remarkable. Steer is tight and responsive.

I did the "free" suspension mod (moving the holes on the sway bar), but that had a marginal improvement. I wasn't until adding the Steer-Safe did it make is outstanding.

The reason I chose this over the saf-ty steer was or blue ox was mostly ease of install and price. They all seem to work and have good attributes. I just couldn't find any really negative reviews on the Steer-safe.

For me, the installation instructions were ok.... I liked just following the installation video on Youtube.

Any pictures? Love to see what it looks like and where did you buy it?
Did you have to buy any additional parts?

I just found this install video on Youtube
How To Install an RV Steering Stabilizer by RV Education 101ģ - YouTube

Thanks

TigerTrak TT2401 Ford F-53 Chassis 20K/22K

I just installed the TIGER TRACK I'll let you know in a couple a weeks when i take it on a trip if its worth it.
a Steer-Safe Stabilizer might be the next upgrade.

Here is a silly question,
Why is it that after we buy these motorhomes
we have to spend more money
to get them to ride/steer better?

Iggy, I just bought it from Steer Safe in Deming, NM. It was about $30 to ship it to Michigan. You don't need any extra parts. I'll post some pics soon.

Jojo bamboo, I am considering the Tigertrak too. I have to take my toad to Blue Ox next month to get my baseplate designed. They offer a significant discount on the Tiger trak and I've heard good things. I guess they think if we can afford a class A, then we can afford to spend more money on all the aftermarket stuff.

Steer safe works great. But unless they change the installation instructions, they have you putting the axle brackets on up side down. The u-tube video is correct. They would install free at there shop ,don't know if they still do this.

I installed it and it is worth the money in my opinion. It certainly makes a big difference when towing a a 5K lb boat.

I installed the Tiger Trak 2401 awhile back and think it made a big diff. I do not have that tail wagging the dog effect anymore. Trucks pass and I don't even feel them.
