Improving television reception
Just wondering if the stock (as equipped) TV antennae found on the Georgetowns would accompany this Winegard Wingman as shown at Camping World.
BTW......the exact unit shown here is selling for more than $60 CDN at a local RV supply shop. Guess where I WON'T be buying one, if they do as well as they say.
Anyone out there got one? More importantly, does it improve reception like they say?

If you have a Winegard Sensar, then the Wingman should fit if you have about 10" of clearance on the non-post side of your antennae....in the folded down position. Some members of the forum have run into clearance problems in the down position, whether it be their AC or a fridge or roof vent.
I have the Wingman, and can see an improvement. It has brought in another station or 2, and the weaker stations don't "freeze" up as bad now.

I have the wingman as well and it has helped increase my reception.

Wingman Installed
I installed the wingman on my existing antenna on my 8285WS Rockwood.
Did make a difference. Camping world had them on sale for members for $21.95 recently.

We installed the wingman on our antenna and it seems to help with weak signals that would normally cut in and out. It does by the way clear the A/C unit, we have the same motor home as you, doesn't clear by much, but does clear when lowered.

Found out recently that the Wingman works on all models of Winegard Sensar antennas that do not have the extra elements.
Make sure you have room for it. There is a way of reversing the entire antenna head to point the other way if there is more room that way.
Does not work with other manufacturer antennas.

I would also consider inspecting and or replacing the cable F connectors. I found the factory connections to be very poor. Definite improvement in picture quality.

We have the wingman and it helps bring in the new UHF Digital signals. It was simple to install to the antenna mounted on the roof of our Georgetown.

So are we saying that the original antennae that comes with a Georgetown is a Winegard Sensar?

Yes it's the Sensar. Added it to mine with little effort. Easy to follow instructions. Improved the reception as well.

That seems a stretch. Maybe on SOME Georgetowns...
Your experience may differ.

My 2010 Georgetown came with a 16 or 18 inch disc like antennae that looks like a small flying saucer sitting on the roof on three legs about 10 or 12 inches high. It seems to bring signals in from all angles and is not adjustable. It does a fairly good job but is definitely not equivalent to the reception you shold get from a satellite.
I don't remember what the antennae is called but it is not a "bat wing" type.
