Inverter Issue

Okay I've searched the threads and can't find an answer to this. Our 2015 Georgetown 369DS is having an issue with the refrigerator inverter. We first noticed last month as we ran down the road that our frig had no power. No problem we thought, we'll just reset the inverter. Ours is located above the propane tank. So hubby reaches in and tries to push in the reset button but it won't budge. He has tried several times but it just won't reset.
So any advice out there? Do we need to replace this? - anyone had this problem? It seems odd that it would break after one year (but I thought that about the slide motor too!) I'd like some input before we take it in for service.
Thanks!

Check if any numbers are showing on the front display. There also should be a reset button on the plug receptacle, as well as the on/off button that needs to be switched on (check the on/off remote switch). If this doesn't fix the issue check the main breaker next to the control box under the entry steps. It should either be 80 or 100 amp breaker with a red lever.
If this doesn't help then reply. There are other, not so easy, fixes.

Yes we checked the plug and the battery switches - it is a problem with the inverter button not being able to reset - feels mushy if that makes sense.
I assume you are talking the frig display - we get nothing out of the ordinary there when it has power.

Have you tried unplugging the cord and then resetting the GFI on the front of the inverter. The inverter should be showing the voltage or a fault code if its not working on the front panel. If yours is like mine they installed it that you can not see the front panel. I tried a mirror but that was hard to read so I stuck my phone in and took a video. Mine was flashing 3 codes that turned out to be a bad control board. Forest River sent me a new inverter and I installed it myself. I did put a longer ground wire on it so I could turn the unit to face out so I can see the panel. Doing it myself saved me 6 weeks as the dealer was a mim of 4 weeks out before I could get a app. I have a 2015 377 xl

If the GFCI feels mushy when you try to reset it, it may not be tripped. Push the test button on the receptacle then push reset. If it then respects your issue is elsewhere. As others have said, there should be codes on your inverter itself.

Same thing happened to us this summer. Was able to validate 12 volt coming in to the inverter but not coming out. Checked the gfi in the unit but also no go. Had to replace it. Extended warranty paid, but had to order online as we were 2 hours from nearest store.

On my prowatt inverter it has a display on the front showing the battery voltage, then the output voltage. Make sure it is getting 12 volts to the inverter. Does sound like it may be the CFCI. Should be an easy fix or if still under warranty the have the inverter replaced

Thanks everyone for your response. We will be trying to video the inverter display - thanks for the suggestion - what a great idea. I didn't even realize there was a display on the side of the inverter. At our walkthru last year we insisted that the panel above the propane tank be installed correctly. Ha ha - now we are regretting that as we try to work through the little hole to see what is happening. Our tech tried to tell us but we were stubborn cusses.

I think it will also be a situation for our extended warranty. Hub wants to wait for the rally next year but that's a lot of boondocking opportunities missed. Once we see what the codes are we can move forward. We didn't expect so many "learning" opportunities after one year of ownership but we will be pros at this by year five. ;-)

I have found my "learning" opportunities decreased dramatically after the first year, I hope yours do as well. Good luck.

I would take the panel off to try and get the video, its only about 6 screws. You do need a square drive bit for the screws.

A Philip screwdriver should work in a pinch
