Inverter question
We have a 2014 GT 378 and have had various issues with the inverter/charging system since we bought the coach about two months ago. Initially, we could not get it to power the refer as designed. We subsequently bought new coach batteries during our shake down trip and all seemed well. The generator would not run more than 10 minutes at a time but after removing about a pint of oil from the crankcase it has been great ever since.
This weekend we were boondocking, and were running off the coach batteries for some of the day, then the generator in the evening to charge and have the ability to run the microwave and the like. The first night, we shut down the generator and the refrigerator stayed on all night as expected. The next morning we fired up the generator to recharge the batteries and run appliances. However, when we shut down the generator the refrigerator would not stay on. Even though the invertor was supposedly on. (green light on the idiot panel) The house batteries were fully charged. I checked the GFI over the propane tank, and found it was not receiving any voltage. Does anyone have a place for me to start? All of the interior outlets seem to be fine.

With a good voltage tester. Check all the wiring. You may have to replace the gfi outlet.

I would like to help but I'm not sure what you mean by, "I checked the GFI over the propane tank, and found it was not receiving any voltage".
Are you saying you manually tripped the GFI then reset it?
Have you checked to see if the inverter is receiving 12 volts from the batteries? If no 12 volts then check the 150 amp breaker next to the batteries.
Could be also your transfer switch. That requires a little more diagnostic time.

The GFI would not trip indicating no voltage. I tested it with a meter, no voltage.
I checked the breakers under the steps and all was in order.
Haven’t checked to see if the inverter was gettin 12 volts. Didn’t want to get that far into it in the field.

Inverter question
If you checked the breaker I would assume the inverter is getting 12 volts. Just to make sure I would check both sides of the breaker next to the batteries. If it show 12 volts it is probably your inverter or the GFI plug. That's a bummer. Though the plug could be an easy fix.

I'll take a look this weekend and confirm 12 volts. You may be onto something there. I do not remember seeing any of the indicator lights on the invertor while I was fiddling with the GFI....

Is this the actual GFI or just a GFI protected outlet. if the actual GFI not getting power the problem is in your breaker box. Did breaker trip? GFI must have power to reset.

The breakers are not tripped, and the GFI has no power. I have two large breakers located under the entry steps. I "tripped" both and reset them to no avail...
The GFI over the propane tank won't "trip", or reset for that matter.

Your inverter is not supplying 120 VAC to the GFCI or it is bad. GFCIs won't trip or reset with no power. I think you mentioned that the green LED is on. Time to take a close look at the lines going into the GFCI on the inverter with a voltmeter. They have been known to fail.

Check the gfci breaker on the inverter itself.
If it is tripped the green light inside will still be on but you will not have voltage to the refrigerator
