Items moving around in basements

We have a 2014 Gtown 360 XL that has great space in the basement. Several of the areas are very large pass throughs (from one side to the other). When we put our patio chairs in these areas they move around while traveling. This causes disorganization. Does anyone else have this problem and what have you done to stop all the sliding around? Thanks.

I built a rack suspended by garage door rollers on garage door track for our 5er. Got all the garage door stuff free from a garage door dealer/installer.

When I read this thread's title, my first thought was that you'd need to call in those guys on GhostHunters.

That's a nice system OldCoot. While our TT doesn't have a large pass through, I have been frustrated with having to crawl half way in to retrieve items that have slide into the middle, like the dog's stakeout. I've got some connections in garage doors and might have to look into something similar for ours.

I use pieces of carpet in all my storage areas. Keeps things from slip sliding easily and quites the rattles and clunks from stuff slipping around on the smooth plastic.

I've realized the same issue in our Sandpiper basement. Carpet only prevents the bottom chair from moving while all those stacked on top fall all over the place. OC is unbelievable and I love his solutions. But, I'm not quite as capable as him in the fabricating arena. Once the weather warms a bit, my plan is to attach several old life jacket (2") straps to the top and bottom of the bay and clip them together to hold the chairs in place while traveling. When I want to remove the chairs, I will simply unsnap them just like you do when you want to get out of a life jacket.

Another thought would be to buy one of the nets that go in the back of a pickup or suv and adapt it to hold stuff in place.

I placed some "D" rings in a couple of places on the floor and side walls to secure those pesky items too.
