Kitchen Exhaust Fan

On our 2011 350TS the exhaust from the microwave/convection recirculates into the coach. Has anyone completed the installation by cutting the vent to the outside? Does anyone know why FR would not do this at the factory? We were always careful to run our hood fan in our TT to prevent cooking from stinking up the trailer. I do not want our new motorhome to smell of breakfast all day.

I may finish the installation, but for now I took ours out because it was hard to see the back of the stove. I installed a colored piece of aluminum to protect the bottom of the cabinet and installed a fantastic fan in the roof vent. I think the fantastic fan does a better job then are old oven hood that was vented outside on our previous motorhome.

I can sure snap one and get it posted on here.

The charcoal filter was doing nothing for the smoke and the smell so I figured I might as well make it easier for the wife to cook. I'm really not sure why they thought it was a good idea to vent the stove back into the camper.
