Leaking awning Seam
On my 378, the stitched seam that runs the length of my 20' awning about 8" from the roof seems to have stretched the stitching and now leaks pretty badly.
Anyone have an easy solution?

You might try some of that product that text folks use to seal the seams on tents and Pop up. Maybe someone with a pop up can help out here.

I was told by a tech to use paraffin wax. Rub the wax stick along the stitching and the wax fills the holes. I tried it and it works as advertised.

leaking seam
My awning top seam leaks if the awning is rolled up because the awning roll creates a pocket for the water to lay as it runs off the roof. It does not leak if the awning is out at least a foot or all the way. Our last TT did not do that because it had gutters. I remember some time ago seeing a metal awning topper that covered the top of the rolled up awning. I wonder if something like that is available.

weathershield
Ya I looked at Dometic online and they have the weathershield for awnings either metal or vinyl. Not sure if they can be installed on existing awning rail with the awning already in place.

I tried the tent seam sealer and it didn't work. Ran a bead of silicone on the top of the seam. Fixed.

Put two coats of the tent sealer on tonight and one on the bottom. Expecting good reasons here in South Florida in the next few days. Will let y'all know what happens. Thanks for all the suggestions!

leak
I also have a 2013 378Xl and the awning started to leak at the seams. I'll wait and see what 360True said about the tent sealant he put on his awning if it work. if not I will use the wax.

My 378 leaks at that seam, all the RV's I have had leak at the stitch seam, I personally don't worry about it and don't stand under the drips.

So far the tent seam is not working well. I think the holes are too big. Going to try a thin bead of silicone next. More to come..

How about the rubber spray you see on tv comes in different colors and says it will seal anything. Can't remember the name.

leaks
Rustoleum makes a similar product called leak seal and it is available at department stores and hardwares.
If your awning, in the stowed position, creates a "gutter" between the rolled up anwing and the top side of the rv, the rain water or a/c water runs off the roof and will lay in there and seep trough the top seam or through the awing track. I thought about using leak seal or similar in the "gutter" and extend it over the top of the rolled up awning to protect the exposed part of the awning from the elements. But I wasnt sure how flexible the stuff would be and if it would stay in place. Would be interested to know if it works. For now I just painted a strip along the top with a thin layer of silicone. That did work good. I was thinking about lowering the awning frame a couple inches so the awning, in the stowed position, would come out of the track and slope down to the top of the roll rather than up creating the "gutter". Anybody lowered their awning? Our last TT had metal gutters at the top of the wall and I did not have this problem.

I used a bead of clear silicone on mine a couple years ago and it works great. No leaks.

Domestic suggested paraffin wax. Anyone know how to apply? Rub it on the seam? Warm it up so it is like a cream?
