This all has me concerned since I noticed the rubber gasket separating at the top of the windshield. I loaded it up with sealant, but didn't even think about looking in/around the dash for any signs of long term water damage that came from that.

Guess I have something to look into this weekend.

We had one of those dash covers over ours, so we never noticed the water under the rubber seal.

Yes it has changed. I had a cousin up here and we use to come up in the mid50s and their was nothing. US19 was a little 2 lane road.

Regarding leak, I think mine was at the seam where the two pieces of rubber meet. Glad guy said that is a common spot. Getting it replaced Tuesday.

Thanks to all the posters for the info. Raining again here.

Guess what, Forest River will not cover any of the damage since I am the second owner and the first owner might have abused the MH in the 3K miles he put on it.

MH insurance is going to cover everything but sure I will take a hit come renewal time. Close to 6K for the dash and windshield.

We had a leak and brought in to the dealer who fixed it by re-caulking and our rotten luck was as we drove home from that fix, a rock hit the windshield and we had to replace the windshield. That was a complete disaster as the vendor allowed by our insurance was horrible and our replaced windshield ended up dropping 2 inches after we drove it home again. Luckily the insurance company sided with us on our complaint and had the windshield redone by another vendor.

Leaking Windshield

Had new windshield installed today. Guess what, their was only spots of sealant from the factory, not the entire gasket was sealed. Installer told me windshield was leaking all the way around thus destroying the dash. None of this had anything to do with abuse, just poor workmanship from the factory. Love my Georgetown, but waiting to see what is going to go wrong next that the extended warranty won't cover either.

Leaking Windshield

Well almost $4,000 later and the new dash has been installed. Looked at the damage after the old dash was pulled out and fortunately FR had put fiberglass resin covering the wood along the windshield and about 8 in up, so that kept the wood dry and no rotting wood to be replaced in that area. Now I will check for leaks after or during any rain storms.
