Learn something new today

After years of owning my Georgetown I learned something new today.

Did you know that the your front yellow marker lights are also turn signals?
Yes the marker lights next to your side cameras also flash to tell cars on your side that you are planning a turn, They are multi function lights.

I didn't know that until recently.

Iggy, I assume you checked both sides to see if they flash. On mine the left side flashed the right didn't. What I found is that Forest River cut the turn signal wire to the lamp and ran a ground from the lamp to the frame instead. The marker light worked the turn signal didn't.

I didn't know that either! I think the mid-coach and rear marker lights should also flash. Fronts alone can be hard to see in bright sunlight from much more than 1/4 if the way back from them.

Both flash if I turn right or left on the specific side. Your should both work that way.
If you have one not flashing check the socket. May be corroded as it was on Ramairs rig.
Too much water over time corroded the bulb socket connections.

Iggy, that's how I found out the lamp was wired wrong. The bulb was a little corroded and the right side view camera would activate when I turned on the headlights. When fixing that problem I found the wiring issue causing the bulb not to flash. Sounds like yours is wired correctly.

Cool! Thanks Iggy, I'll check it out. We only stop learning when we're dead or think we know it all. And you've been a great tutor on this forum.
