Learning the plumbing - the good and bad

Good. Being able to pair the precision Plex system to the app on my phone is good. I can control the water pump from anywhere. I can monitor the freshwater tank as it fills from outside. Click image for larger version

But the low point drain sucks. It is basically two threaded plugs in the end of the lines. There is no way to remove it without getting soaked and no way to put them back in without with laying in water or moving the coach. I guess two $5.00 valves would have put them over the price point? I’ll be redoing this part at some point over the summer.

You probably have your own way but this is what I used. Cheap and readily available. Guess you know one of those drains is low point and the other is holding tank.

Yes, everyone has their way.

This is mine.

Can hook a garden hose to either for washing things, transferring fresh water to a buddies rig or using HOT water for the black tank flush to name a few.Click image for larger version

Btw. It takes a long time to drain 82 gallons of water.

If you have the room in the bay, try this. Ours were capped like yours and it was one of the first changes. The tube in the second photo was for putting RV antifreeze into the system. There are 1/4 turn valves on the blue and red lines.

Low point drain valves

This question is for 5 picker. In your remarks you showed a picture of valves with hose threads on one end. Could you tell us where you bought them? I'm sure a lot of us are interested.

I purchased them through McMaster-Carr. They are made by SMC. (Speciality Manufacturing Company)
I especially like them because they are full flow. (5/8" diameter hole)

Here is a link...

low points

Here's our water bay low points. All parts from lowes. They valves turn 90 under the coach and drain out the back. The white board is insulation...
Pic was taken with the water panel door removed.

The third valve on the right will be removed this spring as it was put in for water access, have since installed a spigot in the back the of the coach to wash windsheilds from house water.

Need to update my photos... but take a look.

I’m actually leaning toward something like this. It would certainly be easy enough to do.
