LED awning lights.

We have the '15 352DS, have had it 3 weeks, been in the shop the entire time. We picked out up to take camping, lights were working yesterday and now today only a small strip of them are coming on. Any ideas why only part of the lights work? Thanks Sam

I'm only guessing here-- MINE are put on by me. They are a single unbroken ribbon
of LEDs 5 meters long. If any go out the only option is to replace the entire ribbon.
IF yours are a single ribbon that is your only option also. You should be able to look
at it and tell if it's segments plugged into each other or a single strip.

Hope you have a great camping trip otherwise and welcome to FRF!

If it has the "cut strips" they can be repaired, although it is way cheaper in time and money to just replace them.

Sounds like the same type of awning lights that came from the factory on my Carefree awning. I'm on my third set under warranty. One minute all would be burning, then within a few minutes dozens would be out. Dealer said Carefree was using a bad batch. First set lasted four months. Replacement set lasted 8 months. Dealer says Carefree has identified the problem and sent out good sets to the dealers' parts departments.

I hope third time is the charm. I've had the third set a couple of months now, with no problems so far. But it's early yet.

Thank you for all the replies. I'll be sure to have service look at it when we take it back in. Hopefully our new fridge will be waiting for us.

Well, looks like my awning led light strip is out like yours too sdowning. My GT is a 2015 351ds. I 've turned them on several times and all was fine. And today I happen to be turning it on for someone to see and a good half of it was not working.

I guess it'll be on my punch list.... and its only been 2 weeks since I had the 351ds and haven't even gone out with it yet. Bummer.

Sorry to hear that sithc. We are taking ours in on Tuesday to have our brand new fridge that never worked pulled out and another new one put in. So I will be adding this and our rear a/c unit to the list.
