Exclamation Level Jack Cease to Function - Ford Fix

We are sitting just outside of Burmingham AL in an RV park and our leveling jacks failed, we were in an up (level) position. I called my dealer who got John Armstron of FR on the phone. After looking at ever fuse in the coach John got some information from FR Engineering that you all might want to pay attention to.

The power for the Leveling Jacks and the Heated Mirrors use the same fuse, a 10 Amp, Fuse position # 38 in the fuse panel under the dash, the BIG GOTCHA is this 10 amps also runs through Diode # 2 (same panel) and it is only rater at 1- 1/2 amp. Ford is aware of the problem and has issued a fix for it, however the fix date (can we say recall) has not been issued. John sent me a copy of the Ford documentation on it, if anyone would like a copy e-mail me an I will forward you a copy.

My problem was that I hit mine by accident (the heated mirrors switch) and that fried the diode so no jacks. I guess if you don't touch that button it might be okay.

Provided for your information.

Just a recommendation, for anyone else taking up JimF's offer for a copy it may be best to PM (private message) him your email vs. posting it in a reply otherwise your email will end up getting spammed (if not worse) for sure.

I have a '09 378. I am postive I've used the heated mirrors before without blowing a fuse(or frying a diode). Still, it may be a good idea to have a copy of your "fix" JimF. I will PM you with my email address if you would send it to me please.

How far back has this issue ocurred? Is it just newer units? I haven't had any problems with my 2007, but wonder if it dates back that far!
