Levelers going nuts on GT 351

The levelers on our Georgetown 351 have never been right. On the way home from the dealer we leveled the coach in a Wal-Mart parking lot and they lifted the front end off the ground completely even though it wasn't that far out of level to begin with. After the "leveling" process was complete, our entry door would not close. In the weeks since then we've just used the manual leveling setting and not the "auto" setting. While in the shop to address a slide issue, we had the tech look into the leveler situation - it did the same thing for him setting on nearly level ground. So he "zero'd" out the system. He cycled it several times and it returned to level each time. We are staying in the coach while waiting for a part to come in for the slide, so we are camping not far from the dealer and we tried the auto setting at this campground on a spot that needed a bit of leveling- the system kinda went nuts, finally ending in an "error" code with both the right and left led's flashing. So....looks the levelers will need attention too.

Yet another situation to put the FR warranty system to the test, and we will indeed report back.

-Mike

I found it so much easier to install a pair of cheap bubbles next to your control and use manual. Start by running both back jacks till they touch ground, then do the same for front and then go from there.

That's exactly what I've been doing. Still beats using wood blocks. But I would like for the auto setting to work.

You have to zero out the system first if u want to auto level your coach!

Sounds like the dealer's tech did that.

As stated in my original post, the system has been zeroed out, but is still operating erraticly.

Just out of curiosity what does "zeroing" entail?

It's series of buttons u push on your level control pad. It's on a post on here, takes about 2 minutes to complete.

Not sure what our systems use, gyros or some sort of digital leveling? I'm guessing that zeroing entails manually leveling your coach and letting the sensors know that they are at a "level" state. That way they'll always return to that state in different grounds. Totally guessing though. I'm sure someone here will have the correct answer.

Where is the FROG rally? We are in FL for a couple weeks. We are FROG members but don't remember seeing anything about it.

Thx!
