Light above sink 2011 georgetown 300 fws

I usually can figure things out but I can't get the cover off the light above the sink. I have tried turning it and I tried prying it off with no luck. What am I missing? Attached is a picture. Click image for larger version

I think you probably need a piece of that foam non slip shelf liner to twist the chrome ring counter clockwise. I think.

We have the same lights in our 2010 and I've replaced them with LED's.

You just need the rubber liner mat for better grip.

Yes indeed...a rubberized pad is needed to get that unit off...learned after many failures!

Use what the others suggested.
Push up hard so the tabs clear the lock and twist counter clockwise.

They are difficult. Need to push in...while turning, either a quarter or half turn.
It took us several attempts.
