There was a 2 pronged gizmo with two leads coming from each side of the furnace. It was located right in the front of the furnace (house side). It apparently had a bad side to it. He replaced that (had it in his truck--must be a common thing) and...heat. The maddening thing is that if I knew how to use my multi-tester properly, I could have checked this myself. But I wouldn't have had the part. Thanks to all for your help. We survive this adventure together.

At least it sounds like an easy fix even though it took a repair guy. Do you have a pic of the item he replaced? Or at least what it is called?

I wonder if it was the igniter...probably burnt up from trying over and over. Did it look something similar to this:

I looked at the repair order it was the high limit switch. He R & R'd it. It looked something like this:

Makes sense, if it was busted it was telling the unit that it was too hot and not fire up.

We often do not hear the ending to the story- folks post a question
and then we don't hear from them again....

Glad you had a happy ending!!

Agreed. It's frustrating when the story trails off before we get a chance to learn from it. Thanks, Jim.

Well, I appreciate that. Thanks to all for your help. It is truly a good thing to know that there is a community out there who can help. It would be close to impossible to do this RV thing with out it. There will be many more posts from me. Right now I have a slide out that is partially extended that I'm waiting for a part. So you clearly have not heard the last of me.
