According to the Lippert Web site, the recall applies to steps manufactured between 5-25-2007 and 12-18-2014. Another site lists the part numbers involved in the recall: (128980; 164194; 165033; 165034; 165035; 165044; 168367; 171317; 171776; 173476; 234310).

I did, I have a 2011 Georgetown, it took Indian River RV about 45 minutes, I just took the notice to them, they fixed it in short order.

Thank You for the information. Our stairs model # 164194 failed three times, within the first 6 months we owned our MH. Upon the 2nd failure I replaced the failed Main Bolt with a bolt from a Chevy Brake slide and it has lasted over 2 years no issues.
The most recent failure was last week while in Key West. This time it was the small double ball joint arm PART # 301701. This part is no longer available. I sure hope this recall replaces the entire stair drive or I am still stuck with a broken double ball joint arm.
I scheduled a service with the dealer we purchased from but they could not tell me what was included with this recall.

You have a triple step, as I do and the double ball joint arm is replaced by one without double ball joints. The entire drive is not replaced.

Do you know what the part # is for this replacement arm, as it appears I am stuck with the Lippert stairs....

Forest river gave me a new step. I'm sure they don't want to do it for everyone due to cost.

Don't know what the part number is but as said it will be installed as part of the recall kit for your steps.

I finally crawled under the MH and looked at the step, well it was all corroded and stuck, some lubrication spray and then some grease and now it works, it will have to be removed and either cleaned and painted, or replaced if too far gone

Steps are junk
# 1: 2010 G/town has already broken the heim joint (no one knows what to do) drilled it out and placed a hardened bolt !
#2: Then tapered bolt thru gear broke and local dlr. had one............ Bad product, so we use handmade step outside rather than incur more failures!!! Hurts when you step & fall due to cheap product.

After the steps not opening, and injuring my knee, Randy at Forest River contacted Lippert, and had the recall parts sent to my service tech. Great service on both companies parts. One more item checked off the list.
