my bolts broke on my 2012 378 and I contacted April Conner warranty at FR however my warranty was out in April of this year and she gave me the number to LCI they are going to send me new bolts. The kit part number is 216567 that is for the bolts washer and nuts. Hope this helps.. Also the phone number for LCI is 866-524-7821.

It appears this discussion pertains to electric steps? I have a three step manual operation unit, model #257658 that has sheared the pop rivets on the support arms. Called LCI customer service this date. Their representative had no knowledge of this step rivet failure. She requested I forward a picture and additional information to begin a review file on the issue. I have read several times in various RV forums of the rivet failure. Bottom line, I received no assistance on the issue from LCI. I am not interested in participating in a prolong study to determine the cause of failure. No apparent retrofit bolt package for the rivet fasteners. I am now waiting two days for a call from one of there senior service representatives. Out of office, per voice mail. In summary, I still have warranty coverage, but LCI customer service was of no value.

Rather than dealing with the dealer, one of the first things I did when we got our trailer in Feb 12, was drill out the rivets and installed gr 8-5/16" bolts, washers and lock nuts. Took about 20 minutes and less than $10. Not worth the hassle in my book. Should the rivets be there? NO, but easy to fix.

Got the motorhome back today with the new Kwikee steps installed. They're much sturdier than the LCI steps and they're almost silent when they extend and retract. They also retract with the power off when you close the door (no more closing the screen and reaching through the door to flip the switch).
